Do you love working with children and being outdoors? Then this is the right place for you!
Adult volunteers are an important part of camp and we will use your input when making our placements. Adults are typically paired with a seasoned adult leader and/or in a supportive role in the oversight of our teen unit leaders and station leaders. Each unit consists of 10-14 campers and 2-4 teen Program Aides. Volunteers must be registered by MARCH 15, 2017.
As a volunteer at Woodinville Day Camp, you will receive the training and support you need to have a successful camp experience. Training includes:
Expect to attend at least two evening training segments, as well as the annual On-Site Training, Saturday, June 3rd, 9am-2pm. Our quality program relies on our well-prepared volunteers!
As a volunteer at Woodinville Day Camp, you will receive the training and support you need to have a successful camp experience. Training includes:
- The Girl Scout Leadership Experience - What is it, and how do we provide the experience at camp?
- Working with Teens - Teen Program Aides are an integral part of our program! What can we do to help them learn and grow in their leadership while at camp?
- Safety - what systems and procedures are in place to keep our campers and volunteers safe and secure?
- Unit Management - What do you do with a gaggle of girls that you've just met? How do you build community within your unit?
- Outdoor Skills - Learn and/or Refresh your outdoor skills prior to camp! New and returning staff practice their skills side-by-side at our on-site training.

Many volunteer positions are currently available. Which one interests you?
FULL-TIME POSITIONS
- Unit Leaders/Co-leaders - support our teen Program Aides as they engage campers in a girl-led camp experience
- Boys Unit Leader - support our teen boys as they help lead a multi-age boys unit comprised of sons of our volunteer staff
- Station Leaders - assist in the delivery of camp programming, as a mentor to teen Program Aides learning to teach outdoor skills
- Equipment Manager/inventory and Dishwashing Supervisor
PART-TIME AND PRE-CAMP POSITIONS
- Food-Buyer (evenings during camp week)
- 6th Grade Overnight coordinator
- Photographer - take group photos of individual units, stations and staff, and have them printed and ready to be distributed by Thursday afternoon of the week of camp. Optional: create a simple photo book of camp to be printed and ready by Friday morning (example and more details are available).
